MINERALS AND COLORS | ORANGE

1. Colors of the visible spectrum (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet).

The colors that the human eye is able to perceive range from red to violet.

Each of the colors that make up the visible spectrum has a wavelength associated with it, with red being the longest and violet the shortest.

Ultraviolet light (wavelength shorter than the one associated with violet) and infrared light (wavelength longer than the one associated with red) are invisible.

ETHYMOLOGY: it comes from the hispanic arabic “naranga”, with origin in sanskrit, and refers to the fruit of the orange tree.
